These are first-party cookies. Not every visit sets every cookie. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent sign-in and form submissions. We explain their use rather than asking you to “accept all” when no optional tracking is present.
Colour theme and browser storage
The nv-theme entry in sessionStorage remembers the light or dark theme you choose for the current tab. It is not sent to an advertising service and normally ends when the tab is closed. Earlier versions used localStorage for the same colour preference; an old entry may remain until you clear it.
This clears this site's saved theme in both storage locations. It does not delete your account or sign you out.
Your controls
You can inspect, block or remove cookies and storage using your browser's privacy settings. Browser session restoration may preserve session storage longer than expected. To stop use of an authenticated session, sign out and clear site data on shared devices.
External websites
Following a link to nodeunion.io or another website opens a separate service with its own cookie and privacy notices. We do not embed their analytics or load a third-party advertising script on these pages.
If this changes
